With the opportunity to be ‘Keeper for the Day’, our Animal Encounter sessions and daily Feeding Times for various enclosures, you can get wonderfully close to our wide range of animals from all across the World. Hear your little ones giggle at the playful otters playing peek-a-boo, see them copy the meerkats as they perch on rocks and stare wide eyed into the huge eyes of the playful lemurs!

Our wide collection of endangered reptiles plays an important role in international breeding programmes; paving the way for our increasing focus on housing endangered species and focusing on animal conservation and captive breeding programmes. Not only extremely important work with so many at risk animals, but a fantastic opportunity to view rare and exotic species right here in Birmingham!

The Nature Centre is situated on the Pershore Road opposite Pebble Mill Road. Bus routes 45 or 47 from the City Centre. Parking:Car parking is available to the side of the Centre. Access also available through MAC (Midlands Art Centre), entrance off Edgbaston Road- suitable for disabled visitors.
